Annual tree distribution

MCI's annual tree distribution resumes this spring! For a thirteenth year, MCI patrollers will distribute 2,300 trees, free of charge to residents of the lake's watershed. The trees are courtesy of the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks. 

 

Ogden: Friday, May 20 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Ogden Town Hall

Austin: Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Dépanneur d'Austin 

Stanstead Township: Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Parc Forand in Fitch Bay 

Magog: Sunday, May 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at LAMRAC, 69 chemin Roy, Magog

 

This year, the species available are:

Decidous trees:

  • Yellow birch
  • Black cherry
  • Bur oak
  • Red oak
  • Red maple
  • Sugar maple

 

Evergreen species:

  • White spruce
  • Larch (tamarack)
  • White pine
  • Red pine

 

IMPORTANT: No reservations required, just show up at the appointed place and time. 

Planting trees contributes to the reforestation of the watershed. By planting trees on your property, you help maintain good water quality, protect soil integrity, preserve biodiversity, and much more!
