Annual tree distribution
MCI's annual tree distribution resumes this spring! For a thirteenth year, MCI patrollers will distribute 2,300 trees, free of charge to residents of the lake's watershed. The trees are courtesy of the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks.
Ogden: Friday, May 20 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Ogden Town Hall
Austin: Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Dépanneur d'Austin
Stanstead Township: Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Parc Forand in Fitch Bay
Magog: Sunday, May 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at LAMRAC, 69 chemin Roy, Magog
This year, the species available are:
Decidous trees:
- Yellow birch
- Black cherry
- Bur oak
- Red oak
- Red maple
- Sugar maple
Evergreen species:
- White spruce
- Larch (tamarack)
- White pine
- Red pine
IMPORTANT: No reservations required, just show up at the appointed place and time.
