Annual tree distribution

MCI's annual tree distribution resumes this spring! For a twelfth year, MCI patrollers will distribute more than 2,500 trees, free of charge to residents of the lake's watershed. The trees are courtesy of the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks. 

 

Ogden

Friday, May 21 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Ogden Town Hall
There are no reservations possible. Just show up at the appointed date and time.

 

Austin

Saturday, May 22 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Dépanneur d'Austin
There are no reservations possible. Just show up at the appointed date and time.

 

Stanstead Township

Saturday, May 22 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Parc Forand in Fitch Bay
There are no reservations possible. Just show up at the appointed date and time.

 

Magog

Saturday, May 22 and Sunday, May 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at LAMRAC, 69 chemin Roy, Magog
In view of the pandemic, the distribution of trees in Magog will operate by reservation only. Reservations will begin Wednesday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. at 819-843-8118 or in person at the LAMRAC Interpretation Center.

 

This year, the species available are:

  • Yellow birch
  • Black cherry
  • Bur oak
  • Red oak
  • Red maple
  • Sugar maple
