The US Fish and Wildlife Service (Vermont region) is currently holding a public consultation with the citizens to determine whether or not they will accept the land bequest of the late Michael Dunn. We invite you to write a letter of support to encourage the US Fish and Wildlife Service to accept the donation. Feel free to use this letter template.

21-01-10 Dunn Property Response to the MCI from Member of Congress, Peter Welch
Letter addressed to the MCI from Congressman, Peter Welch, a member of The House of Representatives in Washington D.C.

Mr. Welch advises that an agreement is currently being worked on that would see the property brought into the U.S. Fish and Wildlife System (Federal) with management control of the land handed over to The Vermont Agency of Natural Resources (State). He supports such an agreement and is well aware of the September 2010 deadline involved.
